Seizing every Moments...

As my days in Singapore are limiting, my social life gets Jucier. I've been enjoying these 2 weeks very much! Well, that would also mean giving up relief teaching for 2 weeks(3weeks including March Holis)Hmmm, this would mean no Vit M input to my trip :(

To think about that, i feel rather scared as there're really many hidden cost to the trip yet i had no input to cover these costs. All thanks to myself for rejecting the MANY offers by Unity. They called me almost everyday but i had been rejecting even when i'm free till i can beat mosquitos!

But Aiyoyo, just when i'm determined to head back to Unity this week should they call me, SAPS called! WHY LIKE THAT? I was waiting for SAPS call for these 2 weeks but they didnt call. Now when i am ready to head back to Unity, SAPS called! I' went down down to SAPS on Mon-Wed....I really did enjoyed myself!! Well, i was quite reluctant yet i accpeted the offer as i really need Vit M to live comfortably in US. However, i got very excited n looking forward when i hear that Alexstine will be in SAPS for the whole of next week. YAY.. I wont feel that lonely then although we're in different sessions.

Well, so much for the boring, mundane stuff i have! hahaha Time for me to share some interesting events i had lately..

Rent 'My Love', a korean serial which i got hooked up after watching 2 episode in Ch56. Began to watch non-stop... It talks about this widow with 4kids, wanting to re-marry to her chu lian qing ren. However there's so much obstacles to overcome. Will they be together in the end? Completed the whole serial and ya la cliche ending. They are together...

Went to school for a briefing regarding OIPP. Went shopping with Joyce after that but i didnt buy much. Just a Mickey Mouse Tee for my brother.

I went for another round of Photo Shooting !! A whole day event.

Session 1: 9am-12pm

The session this time round is for a banner shot which will be hanged ouside the auditorium; replacing 'NYP celebrates 15 yrs'. Very excited but it's not a Confirm case that my group's photo will be up. Well, there's 3 different combinations for the banner shot. I was in for 2 combinations. So not sure if the combinations which i am in will be selected a not.. Hmmmm

Session 2: 3pm-6pm

This is basically the formal, business shot. A smaller but crazier group now that the ever chatty Alexstine is in the picture! Was fun la but one thing i dislike was the make-up which is so thick like some stage make-up! Not only that, the make-up artiste clip my hair up n my face look damn big! Sigh...

After that was a farewell dinner with Uncle Dan n Alexstine. The last time the 3 of us met was sending Alexstine off at the Airport last sept. We went to this wonderful Fishy place called the Fisherman Warf at Clarke Quay. I could say the fish is real fresh n tender. Crispy in the outside n super tender inside. No service charges and it's cheaper than Fish & Co. And its so much nicer than Fish & Co. Its a must try man! :):)

It's a hectic day for me as i have to rush home for Shawn's birthday celebration after getting a huge soft toy from More Than Words... Reached home at 935pm and the whole thing ended at about 1030pm. Finally i can get bathed and rest! Long day for me man!

Finally i meet up with my dearest Gracey Grace for dinner! Since we were in orchard, went to look sor Shawn again! hahah.. And since Alexstine n Jerrold are around in Orchard, we meet n had dinner together! :):)

Met up with my fellow Union of the Bpian Relief Teachers. Had a farewell lunch at Lot 1 Pastamania.. Fact: Jocelyn is a staunch Christian. Elaine didnt turn up! hahaha.. One more interesting fact of the day! I HAVE AN AMAZING UNCLE! I went to my Grandma house for dinner n my uncle made pepper Crab! HEAVENLY.... I ate almost the whole huge crab! hahah

Get Alive!

I had a great time un-leashing my first 'times' with him. My first time visiting Vivo, first time dining in NYDC, first time trying my turkish dish and not forgetting my first cong you bing.... Despite the short time frame, I did enjoy myself n glad that Guan Yin Ma had crossed our paths; that once in my life, i had such wonderful friend. A fantastic frank friend whom is worth to keep in this life.

Well, probably those marvelous time are jus fantasy in my life. So its time I GET ALIVE!Holy cow! I am going to fufill the things which yet to be done in this holis! This would start from..

TREKKING

done on the very holy day of the year. Good Friday!

I had not trek for monkey years, ever since school had started. Finally, i broke the egg on Easter Day n went Trekking!! Well, I certainly miss the greens, the monkeys, the spider-webs, the morning dew and many undiscovered surprises. Well, i was so determined to trek from BT Hill down the hill, all the way to MC Ritchie. However, to no avail as I wasnt in good health condition lately. Having indigestion, stomache, gastric pain, giddiness, feeling breathless and the worst thing is insomnia! Dont know what the hell had happened to me lately! Arghhh...

Nonetheless, i managed to climb up the BT Hill and trek around BT Hill n down the Hill. The whole process took me about 2h 30min...

Getting up to the peak is a piece of cake if you were to go by the normal route. Jus like wad i am doin now

But it'll never be if you try to trek around the hill. There are many routes n this is the first time i tried such tough route. Up n Down the steep stairs, muddy ground, sorching sun and worst of all.. i was'nt in a good condition. Look at my pale like sheet face.. very very very Qiao Cui..

Another fantastic view.. The tranquility of the surroundings were felt. But sadly, i was too exhausted to take them.. Other time ba :):)

Well, After the ever tiring trekking session, i went to Beauty World for brunch. Believe if or not, i am craving for cong you bing lately. I know its fattening.. but dont know what happen, i simply love it. From the aroma of the cong, to the crispy crust and finally to the tenderish bread. Oh.. just one word to describe. HEAVENLY

Hmmm.. much as i want to continue blogging, i ought to stop here as my stomach seems to be growling n growling. The un-welcomed pain causing me to fart non-stop. Damn it! I shall answer to Nature's Call now! Shall blog soon again...

I got an unexpected call from NYP Corporate side on Wed. It is about another round of photo-shooting.. I was still thinking of doing relief on thurs since Fri is a Public Holis which would mean no income. But neh-mind neh-mind, I got sick of doing relief too. I agreed n went for photo shooting @ 10am. This would be my second round of shooting..

Fruitful Day

Part I

Today is a hectic day where by i woke up exceptionally early; @6am. Not to do relief but to go to the US embassy for a Visa Interview which is at 745am. Hmmmp the waiting time is long, as expected.. So i took the first slot, so as to not wait so long. Got everything settled n left the embassy at 9am :):)

During the interview...

Officer: Which year are you at now? You goanna finish ur Dip in SG or in US? How much does Disney pay you an hr? How much do you have in the bank? Will you be at the park even during your off day? Are you going to study in the morning n work from afternoon onwards?

Well, these are the Qns asked. Very general Qns with short precise answers which was held just at the counter with a glass in between us. HAHAHA Very Informal.

Part II

I reach home at 1010am n watch 'The Peak' @ Channel 8. Took a nap and meet up with Alexstine. After being back from Ireland for 1 mth, this is the first time i meet up with him. Well, before Buffet @ Sakae Sushi, i suggested to pay a visit to my Dearest Dear Dear Friend (Shaun Lin Xian Long), who is currently doing his internship @ Maritus Mandrian.

Since he's still training in Business Centre, i got a chance to chat with him and take some photos. The first thing i said to him was.. ''WOW! You are so Smart!'' He'd became so wen zong with his new hairstyle and removing his ear stud. For your info, he'll will posted to Front Desk real soon which i can say isnt easy... But anw, i am confident he can Aced it. I took a bus home which was extremely packed! I had to stand for the entire journey. Stomach was bloated again after the Buffet Treat from Alexstine. Felt like puking AGAIN! Was thinking of i really vomit in the Bus, i would feel very sorry for the driver who is right in front of me hahaha :):)

Counting my days in SG

It's about 20 Odd days left before i Fly over to US for my internship.. Well, mixed feelings i have. Was initially very very excited, then scared, then she bu de li kai.... Recently, i got so many common comments from friends around me...

Friend 1: Shi Ting, shuang lor.. Gg US liao.. Go there find a handsome ang moh BF hor.

Friend 2: Wow! US! Got so many handsome ang moh! You must get attached there w one k?

Friend 3: Oh my god! US! Handsome guys plenty there. You must take pictures of them for me k?

Friend 4: When i was in US, within 2 weeks, guys were asking me out n i got attached w one of the ang moh there. Shi Ting, u ah... Lets give urself 2 months and you'll bring home one satisfactory ang moh bf. hahaha

Well, come on! If it's so easy to find a soulmate for life, i would have longed found mine here in

Sinagpore after 19 yrs in Sinagpore. What's more i am gg there for 6months... I suppose no la, i wont be able to get one there. Moreover, they're lao di gou. HAHAH!!!

It's internship! And i should be thinking of work n striving well. Not wad useless R/S which i can have it in SG too. Well, i am jus gg to miss SG, my family, my good old friends.. Hmmmm even starting to miss them now... :(:( (alright, lets cherish the time i have left in SG la)

After eating for about 5-6 dishes, i went to the toilet.. Stomach was super pain, something seems to come out from my throat. Chest was super uncomfortable.

I went to the toilet. I vomited badly......

Then i know something is not right. It could be me wanting so much to slim down that my gastric became dsyfunctional.

I cleaned my mouth n went back to the restaurant.

I went to see Nam-Seng alone after the dinner, which Chloe dad drive me there. I was very very very very very miserable, ren tong in the ever cold clinic and thoughts pondering my mind about my upcoming trip to USA. ANW, i spend my weekends sleeping n sleeping n sleeping. Thought by doing so, it will make me feel better. Well, yes for my gastric :):)

I supposed i had a lingering weekend which i had planned interesting outings to be seized.. Sadly, it didnt happen.. Cos of my gastric n the monthly stitiches...

A Club called Hot Shot

I had never been to club in my life thou i attempt to go Zouk w my 4Guas but in the end din go. Hmmm well, i think i did been to a club before but i couldnt rmb cos i stayed less than 5 min and left cos i am too afraid. That was minkey yrs ago when i am still working for Apple Telecom aft O'level...

Well, lets yuan gui zhen zuan.. I went to support my dear dear cum fellow Union Member-Elaine Ng at this so called Club called the Hot Spot which is quite log-kok. This is an event of both CSS1 & 2 participants which inludes Khim, Yi Yuan, Yu Yang, Agnes, Benjamin n Elaine (those performing) Non-performing ones include Guo Hao, Zhi Jie...

This private event is so called an underage party w free-flow of juices. I was quite reluctant to go initially as my stomach was bloated badly. On the other hand, it was raining so heavily. Furthermore, i need to collect my DS-2019 form in school at about 6-7pm. Nonetheless, i kept my promise n went to support Elaine.. She was suppose to sing 4 songs but damn! the DJ lost her tracks n she end up singing only 2 songs, not by her own but w Agnes :( But nvm Elaine, don worry, u are not to be blamed hahahaha

Last Sept/Oct when TTY first started teaching tgt with Asmond, we had eversince meet up to chat about some interesting encounter we had in Pri Sch. hahaha :):)

From then on, TTY came out with a name for us... (Asmond, TTY and MYSELF)

Me, Elaine, Jocelyn, Asmond, Tuan Yeow (all of us do teach MT and teaching in Pri Sch except the Ang Mo Pai Jocelyn Chua who teaches EL in Secondary Sch. Hahaha)

There i go! From today onwards(5/3/08) to the end of this term which is (7/3/08), i'll be at St Anthony Pri School with the Anthonians! As mentioned in the previous post, i had adapted to Unity Pri Sch n enjoying myself there. Suddenly i ought to be in St Anthony as they are in need of Chi Teachers. Every year, this particular week of the term, they'll need Chi Teachers as about 4-5 Chinese Teachers will have to bring Anthonians to some China Exchange Programme since it will soon be March Holis. Which is why i am called in today :)

Although i am not motivated to get up for school, i went since i had promised Eric Loh (AM) to be down. Guess that i had been in my comfort zone for too long (UPS), which is y i am quite lazy to be down at SAPS. Nonetheless, i did had snippets of happy moments w the kids as well as the teachers. :)

These are my naughty kids from 5-7. Trust me, they are really a super duper absolutely extremely playful n naughty! I step into the class but they're still talking, shouting loudly. Some very very very very crude words which i don think you want to know.

I was trying my best to be patient w them, which i believe i was. I sat down and softly ask them to behave. Sadly, that was not heard. I got all of them out, hoping that they will be good then ask them in. Still, they're as noisy, as rowdy as usual. Ok 'nehmind', i talk to the naughty boys individually, hoping that they'll listen n stop the nonsense. Well, i tired ALL methods which other teachers had taught me.... HOWEVER, TO NO AVAIL!

..... Half an hour later...

Class as noisy as usual, students cursing each other parents. Swearing and shouting across the class with some human organs till a point when some was about to fight!!!!!! Oh crazy! this is insane!! I nearly went MAD!

So guess what?

I couldnt control my anger, NEVER been so angry with my students before! Never at all...

I slam the table down to the floor! BOOM...

The class became very very very quiet. Even the ant's voice could be heard. At that point in time, i almost burt into tears. I had never been so Angry with my students before. I was panting n my whole heart sank down.. all the way down... I talked too them about my expectations over them.. N everything went smoothly after that. However, i admit guilty-ly that i had spoil the table. The 4 legs r not of equal heights now.

Oh ya... This class photo is taken by Shawn Low. Whom i had taught him last year. I didnt know he's so special that he can even use his phone in class as n when he like. I din know at first n attempt to confiscate his HP. hehehe :):)

Memorable Stay

I had been teaching in Unity for 12 times since 13th Feb 08. Had adapted to it and make new friends with my dear students as well as some teachers. And one more thing! I realised that EVON TAY teaches in Unity too! Since i know she is doing relief too, i offer her a lobang by HOD of Unity, to teach MT in SCGPS. hmmm dono if she'd gotten any call from the school yet. Its a longer term basis, say 3-4 mths which i think will be beneficial for her since she's still waiting for her results.

Well, i had also found my pri sch mate-Edith from 6E. Hmmm seriously, i dont really know her cos we 6C students dont really interact with the EM2 kids. (sorry, no offence) And of what i remembered, we were not in very good terms w her. Merely 'hi' n 'bye' friends, but sometimes, we even ignore each others. haha thats Pri Sch Kids life la ah... But after so long, everything changes. Meeting in this whole new environment, being a relief teacher as well, having little friends n familiar faces... We had eversince became friends n went for recess tgt. Not too bad, glad to see her again. :) :)

Anyway, i really do enjoy my stay in Unity. At least the teachers there are beginning to be nicer n friendlier to Relief teachers like me. :) :) HAPPY!!

One last thing, i really do Respect these students in Unity. I have a couple of students who are 'problem' kids = Autustic, down syndrome, hyper-active kids. Though they do create problems for me, but they are harmless n i believe its ur sincerity to help them which will touch them to listen to you n do their work. Just by bending down, stroking their head will actually change their 'rowdy' behaviours. Well, i'm glad to teach them as there's a sense of accomplishment to see them learn n behave themselves despite their form teacher's absence. i really take my hats off them... :):)
